Caring For Your Medical Jewelry

CARING FOR YOUR MEDICAL ID BRACELETS AND JEWELRY.

You should store your medical id jewelry separate from your other jewelry.
Sterling silver and gold filled are soft precious metals and can scratch.
Plastic bags are wonderful for protecting jewelry pieces!

Do not expose your gemstone jewelry or any medical id to salt water or harsh chemicals, such as chlorine or detergents found in pools, spa's, hot tubs or the ocean. These chemicals and the salt may slowly erode the finish and polish of gems and fade or remove the coloring from the medical id.
Do not use jewelry cleaner as it will cause damage to the gemstones.
Most gemstones may fade with prolonged sun exposure.
Store your gemstone jewelry in a clean, dry place.

STERLING SILVER CARE

In time silver tarnishes from the interaction of silver and sulfides in the air.
To help prevent tarnishing store your beaded or sterling silver jewelry in a cool, dry place. A Plastic air-tight bag is the best way to store.
The simplest way is usually the best way. Get a clean, soft cloth and polish your silver. Purchase a soft sterling silver cloth and after rubbing your sterling silver you can bring back to a beautiful shine!
